Ring rollers serve for the manufacturing of
seamless rings. Many different kinds of profiles such as square
rings, disk-shaped rings or tin-shaped rings can be produced.
Normally these rings are used as constructional parts. However,
a ring roller can also produce molded rings such as pinions,
bearings, inner rings and outer rings.
The group of ring rollers can be divided into radial ring
rollers and radial-axial ring rollers. Radial-axial ring rolling
is the most common method as the whole product range of rings
can be manufactured by these ring rollers.
A modern ring roller has metering shafts and usually the axes
are driven hydraulically. The rotary drives are frequency
controlled. Thanks to this technology the machining allowances
for rings can be more and more reduced. Yet it is also
beneficial to furnish an older ring roller with this new
technology including software for the ring rolling process.
PRESSTRADE supplies second-hand ring rollers and in the near
future new hydraulic ring rollers.
