Forging is one of the oldest forms of metalworking and can be used to manufacture parts
ranging from a few hundred grams up to around 200 metric tons. “Forging” refers to the shaping of metal by means of localised compressive forces. This can be performed
at room temperature (cold forging) or high temperature (hot forging). The advantages of hot forging are
that the material is much easier to form and is far less likely to fracture. As well as hot and cold forging, warm forging can also be performed at temperatures in between the two.
In order to obtain the finished part all forgings are typically subjected to additional processes,
including machining and heat treatment. PRESSTRADE is your ideal partner for high-quality second-hand forging equipment. Founded in 1992
Presstrade has rapidly expanded to become the market leader for all second-hand forging and related
equipment.
