Forging rolls, also called reducer rolls, have
many advantages for the forging part production. On forging
rolls, you can increase the production by eliminating
time-consuming fullering, edging and forming operations. Clean,
descaled blanks are finish forged on the same heat. Forging
rolls guarantee an accurate metal distribution that reduces
flash and increases the die life. A positive effect is the
minimization of the wear and tear on more expansive forging
equipment.
PRESSTRADE has a various range of forging rolls available in
their huge warehouse in Germany.
The smaller sizes of forging rolls are manually operated, the
bigger diameters of the forging piece starting from 125 mm are
automated and equipped with a manipulator to handle the parts on
the forging roll.
